Everyone has their version of a ‘Monster in a Box.’ This is my version.
As in the spirit of doing everything as cheap as possible, I pulled apart a pallet of wood. I used that for the box (obviously), and added everything else as needed.
They were:
- Raspberry Pi hooked up to speakers for sound, a relay for the motor, and a ultrasonic sensor to sense presence.
- LED strips were inside to ‘breathe’ red as the box pulsated.
- More red string lights were added so when the beast awoke the color would be brighter.
- The Pi also controlled the fog machine. When signal was High, it would shoot out the fog. This was controlled via a relay hooked up to the buttons on the fog machine controller.
